March 11, 2017, Duke takes home their twentieth ACC Championship title. This game was one that made history. Duke was the first team in the ACC to ever win four straight games in four days, back to back. First beating Clemson, then Louisville, their rival UNC, and finally the championship game opponents, Notre Dame (the luck of the Irish didn't seem to be enough to help them win this one). Bonzie Colson played one hell of a game scoring 29 points, (as he usually does against Duke) but our team came out stronger in end. Jayson with 19, Luke with 16 (also snagged the tournament MVP), Grayson with 10, and so on. Even though I was watching this game from my living room TV, I felt like I was there. The level of excitement was enough to keep me up all night with barely any sleep. It just feels so good to see the team you love and support so much succeed to the highest level. I had high hopes for them going into the NCAA tourney. Myself, along with every other Duke fan, was sadly let down (my time in Greenville SC, featured in my next post). But, that doesn't take away the fact that we have the ACC title for this year, beat UNC twice, and that I am always proud to be a Blue Devil fan. Until next years tourney, go Duke!!
