Where it All Started

Where it All Started

Hello! Welcome to my blog, Devil in a Blue Dress. If you are reading this, then I would like to thank you for your interest. Although this is just a fun hobby of mine, it is something I am extremely passionate about. The title "Devil in a Blue Dress" came from the old quote "Devil in a Red Dress". I thought changing red to blue was perfect for this. The "Devil" in the title stands for the Duke Blue Devils, which is also where the color "Blue" ties in. And as you can guess, the "Dress" is associated with me, a female Duke fan. I thought this was super unique and it just stuck with me. I couldn't even think of another title if I tried. Having a blog has always been something I've wanted to do. It's been a small dream of mine for a while now. Working in the beauty industry, I thought maybe I could try a beauty/lifestyle blog... it just wasn't my strong suite. I took a break for a while and realized maybe I should try a different type blog, one that is separate from my career. On the way back from watching Duke play in the NCAA tournament this past March (held in Greenville SC), I was filled with emotion while riding back home. Experiencing such a tough loss in person truly made me realize how attached I was to this years team, it was a very special group of players. It was in those moments I had the idea of doing a blog about Duke. I just thought to myself "I don't want it to end here, I want to keep this with me through out the off season and the upcoming season to, and so on. I want to do something different and something other fans can connect with." A couple days later, I made my idea come to life. In this blog I will be posting my view on things, fun facts, favorite players, anything Duke basketball related. Also I will include all of my experiences I have had and will continue to have throughout the season(s). My goal is to connect with any and all Duke fans, coaches, players, students, whoever it may be reading. It lets you see games and experiences through my eyes. As I mentioned above, it is something I am so very passionate about, so writing about this comes easy to me. If nothing comes out of this except the enjoyment I get from doing this, then that's okay with me. Although I truly do hope everyone who comes across my page enjoys it as much as I do. If there is anything you as a reader would like to see, please feel free to contact me through my "contact" tab with any ideas. I truly appreciate all the support! Happy reading, and always, GO DUKE!!

Much Love,

Presley
